University Park, IL - The Calumet College Women's Basketball team started off the new year with a road game at Governors State University. Despite a tough defensive effort, the Crimson Wave were no match for the Jaguars' tough-to-beat offense. Governors State overtook CCSJ and won 87-30 to start off the year.
Destiny Hughes led the Wave with a double-double, scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds, and had 3 steals. Markeysha Coleman was close behind with 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.
The Crimson Wave are back in action Wednesday, January 11th at Cardinal Stritch.
