Tony Madrueno, Sprint Football

In the week of Monday, September 16, Calumet College of St. Joseph Sprint Football defensive lineman Tony Madrueno was recognized as the Crimson Wave Athlete of the Week.

Madrueno earned Midwest Sprint Football League's Defensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday, September 17. In the Week 1 27-6 win over Walsh University on Saturday, September 14, Madrueno lead all players with seven total tackles and three sacks. Six of his seven tackles were for a loss, adding up to 29 yards and his three sacks accumulated to a loss of 19 yards.
