In their first doubleheader of their Florida road trip, the CCSJ softball team fell to Warner on Friday, March 1 at the Daly Field in Lakes Wales, Florida. The Wave lost game one 12-4, as well game two, 5-1.
Freshman MI/OF Aubrie Morales received CCAC Softball Player of the Week honors for her performance this past weekend in against Oakland City and IUPUC.
The CCSJ softball team scored 42 runs on the road in a doubleheader sweep over IUPUC on Sunday, February 25 at the Cera Sports Park and Campground.
The CCSJ softball team split a doubleheader against Oakland City on Saturday, February 24 at the East Gibson Girl’s Softball League Field. The Wave fell in Game 1, 5-4, but bounced back in Game 2, 6-3.
During the NFCA-NAIA Leadoff Classic lasting from Friday, February 16 to Sunday, February 18, the CCSJ Softball team played five different teams and earned its first win of the season beating Milligan 12-2 on Saturday, February 17. Freshman Kathryn O’Brien earned a spot on the NFCA-NAIA All-Tournament team for her performance over the weekend, recording two home runs, seven hits, 10 RBIs and six runs scored in five games played.
Calumet College of St. Joseph softball signed Ally Sims, from South Knox High School, for the upcoming 2024 season. Sims is a right-handed pitcher, who will be a valuable addition to the Crimson Wave team.
