CCSJ Baseball signs Hobart's Hairston
Whiting, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph baseball program signed Jayme Hairston for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Hairston, a 5'10 utility player of Hobart High School, said he chose CCSJ because, "I want to compete with a competitive baseball program, and I can reach my career goals while staying close to home." He plans to major in Education at CCSJ and is looking forward to playing baseball and getting a good education.
At Hobart High School, Hairston is a four-year varsity player, who received most improved honors in 2023. This past season he had a perfect fielding percentage, along with a .324 batting average. Outside of baseball, Hairston was on the varsity basketball team and was a member of the We the People Civics Education Club.
Excelling outside of sports, Hairston is also a high honor roll student, ranking 60th amongst his class of 290 students.
