CCSJ Dance signs Merrillville's Alford

Whiting, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph dance program have signed Tyla Alford. Alford is the first dance athlete to commit and sign with the program for the 2025-26 school year.

Alford, a high honor student at Merrillville High School, plans on majoring in Psychology and Human Services. She chose CCSJ because, "I like how diverse and helpful this school is. I also wanted to stay close to home, but not too close." 

Alford said she's looking forward to making the most of her years at CCSJ, while getting more opportunitiesdsx to experience things that she hasn't done before.
