Tony Madrueno named MSFL Offensive Player of the Week

Whiting, IN – Calumet College of St. Joseph defensive end Tony Madrueno was announced as the Midwest Sprint Football League's Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, September 17.

The junior led all players in the 27-6 win over Walsh on Saturday, September 14 with seven total tackles and three sacks. Six of his seven tackles were for a loss, adding up to 29 yards and his three sacks accumulated to a loss of 19 yards.

Madrueno and the Crimson Wave will return to the field Saturday, September 28 for a matchup against Quincy. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 5 p.m. CT and will be the reigning champs home opener.
