Davenport signs with CCSJ Sprint Football and Baseball programs
Griffith, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph Sprint Football and Baseball programs have signed safety and right-handed pitcher Jackson Davenport for the upcoming 2025-26.
Davenport, the scholar-athlete from Griffith High School, said he chose CCSJ because of the "family type culture." Davenport will be given the opportunity to play collegiate football with his brother Ryan Davenport, an all-conference offensive lineman, and be coached by his cousin Chris Davenport, the sprint football teams defensive coordinator.
He plans on majoring in Education and is looking forward to growing as a person and deepening relationships.
At the mound for the Panthers, Davenport led the conference with the lowest ERA.
