University Park, IL - The Calumet College Men's Basketball team started off 2023 on the road at Governors State University. The Crimson Wave hadn't played a game since before Christmas but scored the first points of the midday game. After only trailing the Jaguars by a few points, GSU took off ahead of the Wave to have a halftime lead of 48-27. The Crimson Wave started off the 2nd half with a tough defense, but slowly Governors State pulled further ahead, winning the 2023 opener 97-62.
Oshawn Lee led the Wave scoring 12 points with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Scoring 9 points, Reggie Loury also had 4 rebounds and DJ Shelton also had 4 rebounds.
The Crimson Wave are on the road again on Wednesday, January 11th at Cardinal Stritch.
