Men’s Basketball win over St. Ambrose with four scoring double-digits
Whiting, IN - After a tough midweek loss to Olivet Nazarene on Wednesday, the Calumet College Men's Basketball ended the week with a home matchup against St. Ambrose University. The Crimson Wave team stayed ahead of the Bees throughout the game, leading to a 79-63 win for the Wave as the season winds down.

The Crimson Wave team stayed ahead of the Bees throughout the game, leading to a 79-63 win for the Wave as the season winds down.
St. Ambrose (3-16, 2-15 CCAC) scored the first points of the game with a 3-pointer and battled for the lead with CCSJ until the Bees had a 27-23 lead with 6 minutes left in the 1st half. After a 3-pointer from Oshawn Lee put the Crimson Wave ahead 29-27 with 4 minutes to go. CCSJ continued to increase their lead towards the end of the 1st half to go into the halftime break leading SAU 38-33.
Throughout the 2nd half, the Crimson Wave continued to increase their lead over St. Ambrose. The Crimson Wave were shooting above 50% in Field Goals in the 2nd half and made four 3-pointers to keep a strong lead over the Bees.
Four Crimson Wave players scored double-digits during the 16-point win. Noel Mpie led the way scoring 18 points with 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. Lee was not far behind with 17 points with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. Reggie Loury scored 12 points with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Dorwynn Smith scored 10 points with 6 rebounds, 1 assists, and 1 steal.
The Crimson Wave returns back to The Ritt. on Wednesday to host Judson at 7 PM and again on Saturday to host St. Xavier at 3 PM.
