Former CCSJ bowler Michael Davidson sets PBA 12-game scoring record
Competing in the PBA Delaware Classic, former CCSJ All-American Michael Davidson broke the 12-game PBA scoring record that stood for 29 years.
Middletown, DE – Former Calumet College of St. Joseph men's bowler Michael Davidson made history at the Professional Bowlers Association Delaware Classic on Tuesday, January 22, breaking the 12-game PBA scoring record.
He bowled a 3,086, which is a 257.17 average in the 12-game block. Davidson surpassed the previous record, 3,083, set by left-handed PBA Hall of Famer Mike Aulby in 1996. Davidson snapped a record that nearly held for 30 years.
No surprise that Davidson has cemented himself in the PBA history books, as he has been an outstanding bowler since his time as a Crimson Wave. He bowled with CCSJ from 2014-18.
He was a three-time NCBCA All-American, a three-time NAIA All-American and a two-time NAIA Player of the Year. He was also a captain of the Crimson Wave men's bowling team that reached a No.1 ranking in all of NAIA and USBC Collegiate in both 2015-16 and 2017-18.
