CCSJ Men's Bowling finishes 13th at Hoosier Classic
The Crimson Wave men's bowling team placed 13th at the 2025 Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic on Sunday, February 16. Junior Connor Pula finished 11th individually, bowling an average 224 per game.
Indianapolis, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph men's bowling team competed in the 2025 Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic on both Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16. CCSJ finished the weekend in 13th place out of 78 teams.
After the first four baker games were played on Saturday, the Crimson Wave were sitting in 16th place with an overall total score of 4038.
On Sunday, CCSJ had completed its 10th baker game and dropped to 19th. With a strong outing in the last five baker games, the Wave finished the tournament in 13th place with an overall total score of 8070.
Junior Connor Pula led the Crimson Wave, finishing 11th individually with a score of 1120 in five games played. His average of 224 per game was the 11th best amongst a field of 140 bowlers.
Despite finishing 13th as a team in the Hoosier Classic and not being able to compete for the 1st place trophy, CCSJ has now competed in 10 tournaments and were ranked by United States Bowling Congress Collegiate.
Heading into sectionals, CCSJ is ranked as the 9th best collegiate bowling program. That is now the 18th season in a row that the Crimson Wave men's bowling team have been ranked in the top 10 by the USBC.
