Bio

Shane Cloutier was named the men’s head soccer coach on December 1, 2024.

Prior to CCSJ, Cloutier was the boys’ soccer assistant coach at Hanover Central High School in 2024. With Hanover Central, Cloutier designed and implemented practice plans to enhance the team’s performances. He also developed and executed goalkeeping drills to improve player skills and techniques. His methods helped lead the 2024 Hanover Central boys’ soccer team to a program record 12 wins.

Before that, Cloutier was a coach for the Indiana United Football Club from November 2023 to June 2024. He was an assistant for the Indiana Thunderbolts as well as the Men’s United Premier Soccer League, having the opportunity to coach and train players from the high school to professional level.

From July 2020 to December 2021, Cloutier was the boys’ soccer head coach at Lake Central High School.

Prior to that, he was coaching at the college level with University of Southern Indiana and North Park University.

The former college athlete was a starting forward on the University of Southern Indiana men’s soccer team. He played three years before transitioning to an assistant coach on the staff in 2014. He was on the staff for four years before beginning his graduate assistant coaching position with North Park University in 2018.

Cloutier earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from University of Southern Indiana in 2018 and his master’s degree in organizational leadership from North Park University in 2020. 

In addition to his coaching at the high school, collegiate and semi-pro level, Cloutier was a full-time carpenter from 2021-23.

He also is currently a coach of the Jake Stars Football Club, helping run youth and high school level teams, as well as a member of US Soccer and United Soccer Coaches Association.

Cloutier holds certifications in United States Soccer Federation National D License, DCFS Mandated Reporter, CDC Heads Up and United States Center for SafeSport Trained.
