Crimson Wave falls to Holy Cross

The Crimson Wave traveled to Holy Cross College on Wednesday for their weekday CCAC matchup. In this game, CCSJ had 7 players to help their efforts and give the team a few more opportunities to break but also the Saints would prove to be a tough opponent for the Crimson Wave. 

CCSJ battled to stay in the game against Holy Cross, but the Saints held the Crimson Wave from producing a lot of scoring opportunities. The Saints led CCSJ 41-20 at halftime, and in the 2nd half continued to increase their lead, ultimately defeating the Crimson Wave 83-42.

Shakeana Clark led the Crimson Wave with 14 points, 2 assists, 5 steals, 1 block, and 6 rebounds. Zariah Frierson followed with 7 points, 3 steals, 1 block, 1 assist, and 4 rebounds. The team finished the game shooting 27.7% in Total Field Goals, 11.8% in 3-Pointers, and 33.3% from the Free-Throw line. 

The Crimson Wave are back in action at home on Saturday, January 22nd against Roosevelt University.
