Saturday, the Calumet College Women's Basketball team traveled to #20 St. Xavier for their second CCAC matchup of the week, another tough game for the Crimson Wave.
St. Xavier held the Crimson Wave to only 18 points in the 1st half and scored 61 points as the Wave couldn't quite find their groove. In the 2nd half, the Crimson Wave pulled some points together to increase their score while also getting some opportunities at the Free-Throw line, but the Cougars were too far ahead for the Wave to catch up, defeating CCSJ 100-46.
Zariah Frierson led the Crimson Wave scoring 14 points with 3 rebounds and a steal. Shakeana Clark followed scoring 11 points with 9 rebounds and 2 steals. The team shot 24.6% in Total Field-Goals but were also shooting 66.7% from the Free-Throw line.
