The Calumet College Women's Basketball team traveled to Bourbonnais for their second match-up against Olivet Nazarene. The Tigers played a quick offense and aggressive defense against the Crimson Wave, although ONU got ahead early CCSJ matched their rhythm and continued putting up shots of their own. The Crimson Wave played a solid 1st half, going into halftime down 57-33, but in the 3rd Quarter ONU took off and CCSJ wasn't able to catch up. In the final half, the Crimson Wave lost 131-70.
Zariah Frierson led the Crimson Wave scoring 19 points with 4 assists, 1 block, 2 steals, and 8 rebounds. Elizabeth Davis followed scoring 16 points with 1 assist and 7 rebounds and Shakeana Clark scored 13 points with 2 assists, 1 steal, and 9 rebounds. The team shot 43.5% in Total Field-Goals and 90% from the Free-Throw line.
The Crimson Wave return to action on Wednesday as they host IU-Southbend and again on Saturday against IU-Northwest for their Senior Day.
