Whiting, IN - The Calumet College Women's Basketball team hosted a tough Holy Cross College team on Wednesday evening. The Crimson Wave played a strong 1st and 2nd Quarters, battling back offensively and playing strong defense, as the Saints led 38-25. The 2nd half was tougher for the Wave as it took 6 minutes for CCSJ to score with two made free throws from Markeysha Coleman. Despite having two players score double digits, the Saints won the game over the Wave, 86-39.
Coleman led the Wave in scoring with 16 points, 2 made 3-pointers, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. Jasmin Barker was close behind with 15 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.
The Crimson Wave are back on the road Saturday at Roosevelt University at 1 PM.
