Chicago, IL. – The Calumet College of St. Joseph women's basketball team lost a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference game to Roosevelt 91-29 on Saturday, December 2 at the Goodman Center. The Crimson Wave (0-7, 0-3 CCAC) shot 27 percent from the field in the loss.
How it Happened
CCSJ struggled to score in the game as they found themselves down 21-4 at the end of the first quarter. Roosevelt would later capitalize on the Crimson Wave's slow start and extend its lead to 32 heading into halftime.
As Roosevelt kept up the pressure in the second half and cruised to the victory, five separate players for the Lakers finished with at least 10 points.
Calumet College shot 27 percent (12-of-44) from the field and 14 percent (1-of-7) from 3-point range. The Crimson Wave made four of its seven free throw attempts and dished seven assists for the game.

Destiny Hughes led CCSJ with seven points and three assists. Amaris Gonzalez chipped in with six points and two rebounds off the bench.
