Crimson Wave falls against Huntington Tuesday

Huntington, IN. – The Calumet College of St. Joseph women's basketball team lost to Huntington 106-36 on Tuesday, December 5 at the Platt Arena.

How it Happened

CCSJ (0-8, 0-3 CCAC) struggled to score in the game as they found themselves down 24-4 at the end of the first quarter. Huntington capitalized on the Crimson Wave's slow start and extended its lead to 34 heading into halftime.

Huntington kept up the pressure in the second half and earned its largest margin of victory this season.

Calumet College shot 29 percent (14-of-49) from the field and 29 percent (2-of-7) from behind the arc. The Crimson Wave made six of its 10 free throw attempts and dished five assists for the game.

Crimson Wave Leaders

Destiny Hughes, Marisa Esquivel, and Vanessa Howell all had eight points apiece. Hailey Vanderhye chipped in with a game-high seven rebounds while Sidney Elijah had five rebounds.
