Women’s Bowling finishes 5th at Warhawk Open
Addison, IL - The Calumet College Women's Bowling team returned from their break and headed to the Brunswick Warhawk Open to start off December. The break proved favorable for the Wave as the team finished 5th overall out of 24 teams.
After Saturday's qualifying rounds, the Crimson Wave were in 7th place and after Sunday's qualifying rounds CCSJ moved up to 5th place, becoming eligible for the Baker Match play.
The Crimson Wave won the first match against St. Xavier and moved on to the semi-finals where they fell short against the eventual champions, Davenport University.
Leading the Wave were Brooklin Chavez with a 201.6 average and 1008 overall total, Alyssa Olson had a 186.2 average with 931 overall, Lauren Brown with a 174 average and 870 overall, and Paige Plautz with a 184.25 average and 737 overall total.
The Crimson Wave have another break until the team heads off to Las Vegas, Nevada for their Tier 1 events, the Glenn Carlson Invitational and Collegiate Shoot-Out.
