Plautz Earns All-Tournament Honors, Crimson Wave Finish 3rd At Hoosier Classic
The CCSJ women's bowling team placed 3rd at the 2025 Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic on Sunday, February 16.
Indianapolis, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph women's bowling team competed in the 2025 Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic on both Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16. CCSJ finished the weekend in 3rd place out of 64 teams.
After Saturday's baker games, the Crimson Wave were sitting in first place. By the end of all 15 baker games on Sunday, the Wave were ranked 2nd with an overall total of 8332, just 12 points behind first place Savannah College of Art and Design-Savannah.
As the No. 2-seed, CCSJ faced the No. 7-seed Lindenwood in the first round and beat Lindenwood 2-0. The Wave moved on to the semifinals and faced No. 6-seed Judson. CCSJ would lose to the eventual tournament champion Judson, after falling in the semifinals 2-0.
Finishing in third place at the 2025 Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic is the highest finish for the Crimson Wave women's bowling team in program history.
Individually, Piper Plautz led the entire field of women bowlers for the top spot on the all-tournament team with an individual total of 1198 in five games played. She had the highest tournament average of 239.6 amongst 149 participates.
Savanah Rodriguez narrowly missed the top-five, finishing in 6th with an individual total of 1098 in five games played. Rodriguez was 13 points away from tying the fifth-place finisher.
