Lady Wave Soccer Shutout By Bees
DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Calumet College of St. Joseph women's team was only able to muster one shot Saturday night when they faced off against CCAC foe Saint Ambrose University, as the Wave dropped their second conference match of the season 5-0 in Davenport, Iowa.
SAU (5-1-2, 2-0-0 CCAC) set the tone early, scoring at the 14:51 mark in the first half. Saint Ambrose would put another shot in the back of the net twelve minutes later at 36:54 in the first, before scoring three goals within a 13 minute period midway through the second half.
Goalie Jade Newton (FR/Macclesfield, England) faced 14 shots on goal in 90 minutes of action, stopping nine. Alex Clemente (SR/Rensselaer, Ind.) tallied the only Wave shot, coming 68 minutes into the match. The Crimson Wave now drop to 0-4 in the all-time series against the Fighting Bees.
