Wave Women Blanked Again Tuesday Night
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Crimson Wave women's soccer team faced off against CCAC foe Robert Morris University on Tuesday evening, but were unable to score a goal in their fourth straight match, falling to the Eagles 4-0.
Maria Berrum completed the natural hat trick for the Eagles, as Robert Morris (3-5-1, 2-1 CCAC) found the back of the net twice in each half. Berrum scored at 15:55 and 22:42 in the first half, as well as at 80:32 in the second. Moments later, Demy Whitaker would make the score 4-0 when she buried one past Wave defenders at the 81:17 mark, giving us our final score.
For Calumet College of St. Joseph (0-5-1, 0-3 CCAC), Jade Newton (FR/Macclesfield, England) saved six of the ten shots that she faced, playing in goal the entire game. Alex Clemente (SR/Rensselaer, Ind.) had two of the Wave's five shots, with Raquel Salinas (SR/Berkley, Ill.), Brooke Jackson (SR/Portage, Ind.), and Esmeralda Padilla added one shot each.
