Women's Soccer Cancels 2020-21 Season
The Crimson Wave women's soccer program has made the agonizing decision to cancel the 2020-21 season due to the health and safety concerns of the players stemming from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
"It's unfortunate to come to this conclusion, but we always want to put the health and safety of our student-athletes first. The COVID-related obstacles were just too much to overcome." Said Johnny Craig, Senior Vice President for Athletics, Enrollment and Marketing.
The Crimson Wave women's soccer team will resume action for the 2021 season this fall. Craig continues, "We have a talented group of young players returning in the fall. I'm excited to see what this team can accomplish when we we're back to our normal conditions."
