The Crimson Wave Women's Soccer Team lost to Cardinal Stritch University 5-0 at home on Wednesday evening. The Crimson Wave started the first period with a strong defense, not allowing a CSU goal until minute 30, but then Stritch had the momentum to score three more goals until the half. In the second period, Stritch scored only one goal because of the strong CCSJ defense. CCSJ goalkeepers, Marcia Keilman and Nova Lopez combined for 11 saves on the night. The only shot on goal taken by the Crimson Wave was a close shot by Mackenzie Pickens, but was kept out of the goal by CSU defense.
The Crimson Wave Women's Soccer team returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 9th at Governors State at 5 PM.
