The Calumet Commitment: A Pathway to Academic and Athletic Success at CCSJ
May 20, 2024
The Calumet College of St. Joseph (CCSJ) is proud to offer the Calumet Commitment, a scholarship program designed to support incoming freshmen on their journey to academic excellence and graduation. This initiative underscores CCSJ's dedication to making higher education accessible and affordable for motivated students. The Calumet Commitment promises to pay for the senior year tuition of students who meet specific criteria, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their path to a degree.
To qualify for The Calumet Commitment, students must:
- Reach their senior year by the seventh semester from the start of their freshman year.
- Enter that seventh semester with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
- Have their most recent FAFSA on file with the college.
Cristian Garcia, the head coach of both the men's and women's soccer programs at CCSJ, sees the Calumet Commitment as a valuable asset in recruiting talented student-athletes. He is dedicated to finding student-athletes who are not only skilled on the soccer field, but also demonstrate a strong commitment to their academic pursuits. By offering both athletic and academic scholarships, CCSJ provides a comprehensive support system for its students.
