Wave Bowling Rolls Well at Boilermaker
LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The CCSJ ladies' bowling team competed in the Boilermaker Classic this past weekend in Lafayette, Ind., and had a successful outing both as a team and individually.
The varsity team narrowly missed a win, finishing in 3rd-place - just 55 pins out of first - while the JV team collected a 2nd-place trophy.
Robert Morris won this closely contested event at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl.
On the individual side, two lady keglers achieved All-Tournament honors. Senior Lauren Hart finished Saturday's regular game format in third, and junior Brianna Ferro was right behind, finishing in 4th-place. Another notable performance was turned in by freshman Paige Chapman, who averaged a stellar 217.3 in limited action.
Chapman was the only woman to average over 200 on the demanding 37' flat oil pattern.
The squad has some time off as they prepare for the Striking Knight Classic in Jeffersontown, Ky., on Nov. 19-20.
