Wave drops two at Texas College

TYLER, Texas – The Calumet College of St. Joseph baseball team kicked off their annual spring break trip with a twin bill at Texas College on Sunday, March 1. The Wave forced the opener into extra innings thanks to a three run seventh inning rally before falling 11-0 in the nightcap.

Four players connected for two hits each in the opener with Alan Sanchez (SR/Oak Lawn, Ill.) driving in three runs and Zach Verta (SO/Chicago, Ill.) two to lead the offense. In game two, the Wave was held to just one hit – a single by Enrique Rivero (JR/Miami, Fla.).
