Davenport earns CCSJ’s first-ever NAIA Pitcher of the Week Awards after the program’s first no-hitter

On Tuesday, March 28th, Andrew Davenport (Bubba) was awarded the CCAC Pitcher of the Week and NAIA Pitcher of the Week honors after throwing the CCSJ Baseball program's first-ever no-hitter against St. Francis in their 4-0 game one win on Friday, March 24th.

Davenport struck out 9 batters and saw the minimum 21 batters, with only one runner seeing first base after an error but was canceled out after a double play. In the 7 innings, Davenport threw 62 pitches, 50 of which were strikes.

The Crimson Wave lost game two of the doubleheader but came back the following Monday to win 4-3 in extra innings, the first time in program history CCSJ won a series against St. Francis.
