Crimson Wave drop series finale against Trinity Christian

Palos Heights, IL - The Crimson Wave played the final game of the three-game series against Trinity Chrisitan on Tuesday as the series was tied 1-1.

Sean Moore got the start for the Wave, going 2.2 innings with 4 strikeouts, giving up 6 hits and 4 earned runs.

The Trolls scored first in the top of the 1st inning, but CCSJ countered and tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the 1st off an RBI from Nicholas Anderson

In the top of the 2nd inning, Trinity Christian scored another 2 runs on a homerun to take the 3-1 lead. The Crimson Wave came back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game up 3-3 off single RBI's from Maurey Garrett Jr. and Darrius Little

In the 3rd inning, CCSJ struggled on the mound, giving up 8 runs off 4 pitchers. 

In the 4th inning, Ian Clark went to the mound for the Wave and pitched 3.1 innings giving up 4 hits and 4 earned runs, striking out 1.

Michael Machnic tried to get the offense restarted in the bottom of the 5th inning with a solo home run, but the Wave couldn't move the base runners around, only scoring 1 run that inning. 

The Trolls extended their lead to 15-4 in the top of the 7th inning and the Crimson Wave couldn't string enough hits together to keep the game going. 

Mechanic led the Wave at the plate going 2-for-3 with a walk and Josef Selby was 2-for-4 at the plate.
