Calumet knocks off No. 16 St. Ambrose behind big nights from Lott, Roebuck, Trammell
WHITING, Ind. – Three players accounted for 56 of the 76 points scored by the Calumet College of St. Joseph men's basketball team on Saturday, Jan. 11 to help snap a 10-game skid. The Wave picked up a 76-69 win over No. 16 St. Ambrose University (Iowa), their first win since November 20. It makes the second ranked opponent that the Wave have upset this season, knocking off then No. 19 University of St. Francis earlier this season.
CoreVon Lott (SO/Gary, Ind.) paced Calumet with 20 points, adding five rebounds and two steals. Germaine Roebuck (SR/Champaign, Ill. ) added 19 points and team-leading 17 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season. Lazono Trammell (SR/Chicago, Ill.) had a huge night under the basket, scoring a career-high 17 and pulling in nine rebounds.
