Wave opens February with a statement win over Saint Xavier

WHITING, Ind. – With the post season looming at the end of the month, the Calumet College of St. Joseph men's basketball team made a statement on Saturday, Feb. 1 when they hosted Saint Xavier University (Ill.) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action – don't count us out just yet. The Wave came out on fire, going up 8-0 early and only ever letting the Cougars pull to within one the rest of the game. CoreVon Lott (SO/Gary, Ind.) tied his career-high of 29, while Germaine Roebuck (SR/Champaign, Ill. ) added 23 to pace the Wave to a 72-66 win over the Cougars.
