Crimson Wave defeated at Holy Cross

Wednesday, the Crimson Wave traveled to Notre Dame, IN to play Holy Cross College, who competed in the 2021 NAIA National Tournament. CCSJ knew they were up against a tough opponent in the Saints, and spent a better part of the 1st half trying to keep up with Holy Cross but were down at halftime 43-26. In the 2nd half, the Crimson Wave weren't able to make a big enough come back to take a lead over the Saints, losing to Holy Cross 84-58.

Noel Mpie led the Crimson Wave scoring 12 points with 3 blocks, 1 steal, and 11 rebounds. Wyatt Hughes score 11 points and had 9 rebounds with 1 steal. Josh Alcindor also scored 11 points and had 6 rebounds. Lawrence Pointer also scored 11 points and had 1 steal. The team shot 32.8% in Total Field Goals, 20% in total 3-pointers, and 81.3% from the Free-Throw line. 

The Crimson Wave's final game of the week is on Saturday at home against Roosevelt University at 3 PM.
