Men’s Bowling wins Storm Baker Challenge

Addison, IL - The Calumet College Men's Bowling team returned to Addison for the Storm Baker Challenge after taking 9th the weekend before at the Kegel/ISBPA Collegiate Classic. 

During Day 1, the Crimson Wave battled to maintain the top three positions against Davenport University and St. Ambrose University. The Wave finished Saturday in 2nd place through 6 sets with an overall total of 4758 leading into Sunday's final sets. CCSJ finished the qualifying rounds in 2nd with 7942 behind Davenport to go into the Varsity Best of 5 sets. The Crimson Wave defeated Rock Valley 3-1 in Round 1 and St. Ambrose 3-1 in the final round to take home 1st place. 

The Crimson Wave JV team also had a successful outing, finishing Saturday in 1st with a total of 4716. On Sunday, the team finished qualifying in 2nd behind the Davenport JV team with a total of 7611, advancing to bracket play and were matched up with the St. Ambrose JV team. The Crimson Wave won the first set, but SAU took the next 3 to advance to the next round and eliminate CCSJ.

The Crimson Wave return to action February 2nd & 3rd at the PBA Collegiate Classic.
