Men’s Volleyball takes down Comets 3-0

Saturday, the Calumet College Men's Volleyball team hosted Olivet College, their second meeting of the season. The Crimson Wave were coming off a week break due to the weather, but having already defeated the Comets 3-0 in their last meeting, the team's energy was strong throughout the three sets leading to another 3-0 win for the team.

In the 1st set, the Crimson Wave had a slow start with a few errors but a rally started with CCSJ's first serve set them apart from Olivet as the Wave won Set 1 25-19 with 16 total kills. From there, the Crimson Wave held control for the rest of the match and forced Olivet to make errors and give CCSJ the ball the opportunity to score. In the 2nd set, the Crimson Wave had 8 kills and just 1 error but forced 6 errors from Olivet to secure their 25-14 win going into the third and final set. The Crimson Wave only grew stronger throughout each set and with 14 kills in the 3rd set, the Wave defeated the Comets 25-12 and won the match 3-0, moving their record to 4-2 on the season.
