Castillo, Hauze, and Moen earn CCAC Men’s Volleyball Postseason Honors

Chicago, IL - Although the Calumet College Men's Volleyball's memorable season has come to an end in the CCAC Tournament, three players were awarded CCAC postseason honors. 

Freshman Pedro Castillo and Francis Hauze were awarded both Co-Freshman of the Year accolades and 1st Team All-Conference honors. Castillo and Hauze were powerhouses for the Crimson Wave throughout the season and made their presence known within the conference and nationally. 

Hauze finished the season with the 3rd best kills per set average in the NAIA with 4.72, 349 total kills, and a hitting percentage of .306%. Hauze also had a .306 attack percentage that is 17th in the nation, 1.61 digs per set, and 39 aces. Castillo finished the season with the 3rd best hitting percentage in the NAIA with .369%, 303 total kills, and averaged 3.79 kills per set. Castillo also placed 17th in the NAIA in kills per set (3.79) to go along with his 1.93 digs-per-set average and 49 blocks over 80 sets played covering 21 matches. Castillo was awarded CCAC Attacker of the Week honors twice throughout the season. 

Along with Hauze and Castillo, Freshman Jacob Moen was awarded 2nd Team All-Conference honors for his performance throughout the season. Moen, the team's primary Setter, finished the season with a total of 802 assists and an average of 10.28 assists per set, the 4th best in the nation. Moen also earned CCAC Setter of the Week honors twice during the season.
