Crimson Wave Men’s Volleyball takes down Olivet Nazarene in four sets

Bourbonnais, IL – The Calumet College of St. Joseph men's volleyball team (16-8, 6-2 CCAC) beat Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Olivet Nazarene 3-1 on Tuesday, April 2 at McHie Arena. Not only was the victory the 16th win of the season for the Crimson Wave, but it was also their fourth consecutive win, for the second time this season. In the win, three players had double digit kills and digs.

  • Freshman outside hitter Daniel Lopez finished with a game-high 15 kills, along with four digs and three assists.
  • Freshman outside hitter Diego Antunez recorded 12 kills, 10 digs and one block.
  • Junior outside hitter Francis Hauze notched 12 kills, six digs, two assists and one solo block.
  • Junior outside hitter Pedro Castillo had a game-high 43 assists, along with eight kills, 13 digs and two aces.
  • Senior libero Gustavo Medina came away with 11 digs and five assists.
  • Sophomore middle blocker Gioele Iacono added four kills and five block assists.

 The Crimson Wave (16-8, 6-2 CCAC) host Trinity Christian at the Rittenmeyer Center on Thursday, April 4 at 7:00 PM.
