Castillo and Hauze earn 1st Team All-Conference, Antunez and Lopez earn 2nd Team Honors

Chicago, IL – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2024 Men's Volleyball All-Conference awards on Monday, April 22 and CCSJ had four representatives earning CCAC postseason honors.

Pedro Castillo, a junior from Barquisimeto, Venezuela, earned his third first-team honors after finishing the season with 170 kills, 565 assists, 154 digs, 26 service aces and 49 total blocks in 93 sets played.

Francis Hauze, a junior from Belize City, Belize, also earned his third first-team honors after totaling 366 kills, 137 digs, 23 assists, 21 service aces and 60 total blocks in 102 sets played.

Freshman Diego Antunez from Machiques, Zulia, Venezuela earned second-team all-conference honors after tallying 200 kills, 110 digs, 23 assists, 14 service aces, and 24 total blocks in 88 sets played.

Freshman Daniel Lopez from San Francisco, Zulia, Venezuela earned second-team all-conference honors after finishing the season with 210 kills, 123 digs, 24 assists, 19 service aces and 25 total blocks in 89 sets played. 

The Crimson Wave's amazing season ended with a 20-9 overall record and an 8-2 record in CCAC play. The team finished 2nd overall in the CCAC standings and reached the CCAC Championship match after a first-round bye and a 3-2 win over Olivet Nazarene in the CCAC Semifinal.
