Slack, Ines, & Monge earn CCAC All-Conference Honors

Chicago, IL - The Calumet College softball team earned three Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference awards, highlighted by Kylee Slack on the First Team All-Conference, the conference announced on Friday. 

In addition to Slack, Josselline Monge and Roxanne Ines were selected to the Second Team All-Conference. 

Slack is the first Freshman in CCSJ softball history to be selected for the First Team All-Conference honors. Slack led the Crimson Wave with a .419 Batting Average that was 7th best in the CCAC standings, with 9 doubles, 5 home runs, 35 RBIs, a slugging percentage of .613, and an on base percentage of .455.

Monge, a Senior, was selected for the Second Team All-Conference and finished the season with an ERA of 2.95, the 8th best in the CCAC, and 6th in the CCAC with a record of 11-9. Monge pitched 116.1 innings for the Crimson Wave, allowing 151 hits with only 49 Earned Runs, 14 walks, 1 home run, and earned 68 Strikeouts. 

Ines, a transfer Sophomore, was also selected for the Second Team All-Conference with a Batting Average of .386 from the left side. Ines had 44 hits with 4 doubles and 4 RBIs, but scored 26 runs, had 16 stolen bases, an on base percentage of .440, and a slugging percentage of .421. 

The Crimson Wave finished the season 16-24 overall and 10-12 in CCAC play.
