Sprint Football comes back in OT to win 2nd MSFL game

St. Louis, MO - The Calumet College Sprint Football team traveled to Fontbonne University for their first away game of the season. The Crimson Wave had a slow start to the game; for the first time, all season did not score in the 1st Quarter. The Griffins were the first to score in the match-up, with a touchdown 3 minutes into the 2nd Quarter but a failed attempt kick attempt left Fontbonne with only 6 points on the board. The Crimson Wave scored their first touchdown at the end of the 3rd Quarter as Elijah Antis rushed in for 3-yards, but Christian Price's kick attempt was blocked, tieing the game 6-6. The game remained tied through the 4th Quarter leading to the Crimson Wave's time playing a game in overtime. The Wave had their chance to score first in overtime, after converting on the 4th down, Jonathon Flemings rushed 14-yards for CCSJ's second touchdown of the game. Price's extra point kick was good and the Crimson Wave led the Griffins 13-6.
