Calumet falls to Trinity International in final game of season

WHITING, Ind. – Taking the court for the final time in their collegiate career, Hayley Collins, Alyssa Lovato and Elri Liebenberg led the Calumet College of St. Joseph to a tight game against Trinity International University (Ill.) on Saturday, Feb. 22, but came up just a little short. The Trojans, who are heading to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, used a big third period to come away with a 76-62 win.

Lovato will finish her career with her name in the program records books, setting the single season three-point field goal mark at 85. She finished the season ranked ninth in the NAIA Division II in the same category and 10th in three-point field goals made per game with 2.931. Collins also leaves her mark on the program, finishing her four year career with 611 rebounds.
