Despite multiple career performances, Wave falls to Eagles in CCAC action

WHITING, Ind. – Despite four players recording career highs, the Calumet College of St. Joseph volleyball team came up just short of a victory on Tuesday, Sept. 17 when they played host to Robert Morris University – Illinois. Sincere Northern (SO/Indianapolis, Ind.) and Cassandra Flores (FR/El Paso, Texas) each recorded double-doubles – Northern with 20 kills and 12 digs and Flores with 12 kills and 11 digs, while Rebecca Larios (SO/Hammond, Ind.) notched a career-high 15 digs and Alyssa Lovato (SR/La Junta, Colo.) dishing out a career-high 34 assists. In the end though, the Eagles pulled out an exciting four-set win over the wave in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action.

The Wave will host a tri-match on Friday, Sept. 20 with Grace Christian University (Mich.) and Knox College (Ill.). Calumet will open the day against Grace Christian at 3 p.m. and finish the night against Knox at 7 p.m. Grace Christian and Knox will face off in between at 5 p.m.
