Crimson Wave Volleyball goes 3-0 at MMU Autumn Classic

The Crimson Wave Women's Volleyball team traveled to Milwaukee, WI for the Mount Mary University Autumn Classic, coming back to NWI with 3 wins. CCSJ played first on Friday against the host school Mount Mary University, and won the match in 3 sets; 25-21, 25-15, & 25-19. Sincere Northern had 7 kills and 4 blocks, Rebecca Larios had 16 assists, and Maria Elena Castorena had 10 diga to lead the Crimson Wave to their 3-0 win.

The Crimson Wave's next match was against Maranatha Baptist University on Saturday morning, where they again won 3-0; 25-18, 26-24, & 25-13. Maria Elena Castorena and Diana Ortuno each had 9 kills, Rebecca Larios had 19 assists, Makayla Watts had 8 digs, and Maria Elena Castorena also had 3 blocks to lead to a 3-0 Wave win. 

In the final match of the weekend, the Crimson Wave faced Beloit College, and won 3-1; 25-16, 25-20, 22-25, & 25-17. Maria Elena Castorena led the team with 12 kills and 25 digs, Rebecca Larios had 15 assists, and Amairani Tellez with 2 blocks to win the match 3-1 and secure their 3rd win on the weekend.

The Crimson Wave Women's Volleyball team returns to their home court on Tuesday, Oct. 26th to host Judson at 7 PM.
